Canton Village Quilt Works

Canton Village Quilt Works

We'd like to thank Jackie at Canton Village Quilt Works as one of our sponsors of the Quilt Market Meetup.

Closeup of Jackie's Diamonds Down Under quilt - an original design for Quilt Magazine's most recent issue. Kits are available in the Canton Village Quilt Works shop.

Jackie is an amazingly talented quilter and has a wonderful online shop. She carries a large selection of fabric, books, and kits. I think my favorite is her amazing selection of Kona solid.  Jackie also offers machine quilting services. And speaking from personal experience, Jackie has great customer service.

She is currently hosting a giveaway of this fat quarter bundle of Art Gallery Oval Elements collection at Diary of a Quilter.  Click here to enter the Giveaway.

Finally, Jackie has a sale through the rest of today (Friday April 29) of 15% off everything in her shop (excluding Kona solids). Enter the code entire15 at checkout to get your discount.

Thanks again Jackie! Looking forward to seeing you in Salt Lake City!

Reservations

Our reservations are SOLD OUT.

We may be able to open more space if the weather is great and we can open onto the patio. If you'd still like to come, please stay in touch! We're keeping our fingers crossed because we'd love to see anyone who'd like to be there!

And let us say here, thank you SO much for the interest in this event. This is the first time any of us have planned something like this. It has been quite a learning experience and one very much outside our comfort zones! We are so grateful to the sponsors who are making this possible. When we first started talking about the idea last fall, we thought, "wouldn't it be nice if we could get a couple dozen bloggers together during Market."

Now, for the first time, we are worried that we can't accommodate everyone who would like to come. And that is sad because we all typically feel like "the more the merrier!" So please know that, but for logistics, fire codes and the fact that we are newbies at this whole 'Blogger-meetup-world' we would have opened this up to the whole blogosphere. Maybe we could try live streaming? Anyone want to take that on?

Girl's World by Jennifer Paganelli

We are so excited to announce another wonderful sponsor for the Quilt Market Meetup. Thank you to the very talented Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom.

A few weeks ago, we received a package with copies of Jennifer's new book Girl's World: Twenty-One Sewing Projects to Make for Little Girls to giveaway at the Meetup.

Her book is so lovely it could not just sit in the box. So I gently untied the ribbon and leafed through it. The lucky winners are in for a treat. Girl's World is absolutely beautiful... I can't wait to get my own copy and get sewing.

I also wanted to pass along the word about Jennifer's upcoming virtual sewing class with Dolin O'Shea on the Virtual Radio Network. They will be teaching the Mary's Fancy Sash Dress (a dress I would love to make for my girls). The class includes an autographed copy of Girl's World.

Thank you Jennifer for your sponsorship and giveaway! We are getting more and more excited for Market and the Meetup.
